R-E-S-P-E-C-T .. say it with me now... R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Come on fellow gamers! What are we turning this game and these forums into? I can't get thru one thread anymore without some asshat hijacking it, or some griefer tossing in his 2 cent lame remark.
Sure we all do it, but I think it's time we all put that huge ego aside and spoke with respect and class. Its time we all made efforts to become a honorable gaming community, play the game without grief, speak without haste, honor the trust and loyalty, and stop the hijacks!
I don't doubt for one second many will flame me and turn this into a joke, but its become a serious problem when people continue to act like asshats just for the joy of griefing in the game for their own amusement... or for the joy of posting bold, selfish, and useless remarks on forums so they can pretend they have an ounce of real manhood.
Can we change? Or, is this a worthless topic that will just be locked? I'm sure there are way too many people here to even consider monitoring, but from what I see the bulk have already landed their egos on the "I'm better than you" planet.
I'd like to think players who have played this game for such a long time would have more RESPECT to those newcomers. But to be honests, its really the old-timers that are finding new and lamer ways to grief more people out of the game. No one should have the ability to make anyones game suffer without that same gamer having the ability to do something about it. You can't trust anyone anymore or you risk losing everything you ever earned.
Bottom line, be more respectful to your peers as an online gamer. We are all in the same boat here. Griefing only leads to more grief... scamming leads to more scams... ganking leads to more ganks... Hijacking leads to more hijacks... and so on and so on. Those that dont see a pattern here are the ones leading the path.
Steps have been made to help this, but the bigger step if for you all to start respecting one another.
Before you all get your panties in a bunch, just know that this game can not exist without the good and the bad. I'm not asking everyone to mine their life away, but if you want to be a pirate, there are many ways to do it other than griefing. Just because its with the game mechanics, doesnt make it right. I hope you all can hold yourself, the game, and the people who play at a better level than that.
